Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our team. This individual, who should be a CPA candidate, will work directly with the general ledger, handle account reconciliations, and assist various departments. The role involves developing, reviewing, and modifying accounting procedures, systems, and policies, as well as preparing and analyzing fiscal reports. The successful candidate will exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments. The anticipated starting salary is $50,233.28 (DOQ), in addition to excellent benefits including participation in the Local Government Employees Retirement System (LGERS).

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the general ledger and assist various departments.
  • Develop, review, and modify accounting procedures, systems, and policies.
  • Prepare and analyze fiscal reports.
  • Exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Current CPA candidate with up to two years of professional accounting experience.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Salary Range

Starting salary $50,233.28 (DOQ) with excellent benefits including Local Governmental Employees Retirement System (LGERS).
