Job Responsibilities
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
- Manage all aspects of the litigation process, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff for efficient case management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Provide exceptional client service, including regular communication and updates on case progress.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of Maine.
- Experience in civil litigation.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
