Construction Inspector - Lawrence

Job Description

Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC) in Lawrence, KS is seeking an Experienced Construction Inspector to join our team. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities

• Inspect various construction projects to guarantee compliance with regulations and contract requirements.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, attend meetings, and resolve issues as needed.
• Document and report inspection findings, manage electronic files, and oversee testing processes.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, respond to complaints, and provide materials testing when necessary.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of construction inspection experience, preferably with KDOT experience.
• Knowledge of civil construction methods, safety protocols, and inspection procedures.
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant construction software.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for projects.
• Physical ability to work in field settings, potentially in challenging conditions.
• Availability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Tools & Equipment

• Smartphone, computer, measuring tools, engineering calculator, and motor vehicles.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu PDF technology and Microsoft Office products.
