Job Description

Lycoming College is hiring a part-time Counselor to join our Counseling Services team. The Staff Counselor will provide general counseling services to students, including individual, relationship, and group counseling. Responsibilities include outreach programming, consultation, crisis intervention, and referral services, as well as training and supervision. Responsibilities

• Provide direct client services such as psychotherapy, assessment, crisis intervention, and referrals.
• Offer counseling support to students individually and in groups, including diverse populations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure students' psychological needs are met.
• Develop and implement counseling plans, services, and educational programs.
• Engage in after-hours crisis intervention and maintain accurate records of appointments.

Requirements

• Master's degree and appropriate licensure in counseling psychology or related field.
• Experience in clinical counseling and working with college-aged populations.
• Demonstrated multicultural competencies and strong interpersonal skills.
• Professional knowledge of crisis assessment, management, and psychotherapeutic modalities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with ethical standards.
