Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Management Coordinator to lead our Emergency Management Department in Clear Creek County, Colorado. This critical role involves overseeing emergency preparedness activities to ensure the safety and well-being of our community before, during, and after emergencies or disasters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update emergency plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and coordinate emergency response efforts.
  • Conduct training sessions and exercises for staff and external partners.
  • Collaborate with various agencies, organizations, and volunteers to enhance emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma with at least four years of relevant experience.
  • Certifications in ICS, HSEEP, FEMA, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Knowledge of emergency management principles, EOC operations, and grant management.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Special Requirements

  • Valid Colorado Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a background check and work irregular hours.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Additional Information

  • Salary Range: $26.51-$33.14 per hour.
