Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join Johns Manville Corp, a leading manufacturer of premium-quality insulation, commercial roofing, glass fibers, and nonwovens. As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving effective safety initiatives. Join us in protecting our employees, customers, and the environment at our Milan, OH facility.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Identify risks and prioritize risk reduction needs.
  • Manage the HSE team's performance and ensure safety compliance.
  • Establish and drive continuous improvement in environmental monitoring systems.
  • Develop action plans for safety activities and coordinate the Safety Committee.
  • Oversee proper management of wastewaters and hazardous wastes.
  • Establish the Annual Operating Plan for the HSE team.
  • Assure clear communication of HSE metrics and reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in water permit and hazardous waste management.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulatory standards.
  • Excellent organizational, training, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical problem-solving.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management and production workforce.
  • Demonstrated Root-Cause analysis skills and ability to manage projects within regulatory standards.
  • Willingness to be on call 24/7 and ability to handle environmental conditions typical of a manufacturing facility.
