Position Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care within the scope of practice outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. Responsibilities include monitoring patients as directed by healthcare professionals and providing essential nursing care.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current Practical Nurse license in the state of employment.
- Active CPR certification.
- Familiarity with state laws and regulations governing practice.
Essential Functions
- Utilize a systematic approach to meet patients' health needs.
- Implement nursing care within the scope of practice.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient teaching plans.
- Administer medications and provide wound care.
- Monitor vital signs and document patient information.
