Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Skills Trainer to join our team at Marion County Health and Human Services. In this role, you will work with the Adult Behavioral Health's Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) team at a supportive housing site. You will provide individual and group skills training, case management, and supervision to individuals with mental health challenges and substance use disorders under the jurisdiction of the PSRB.

Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral health services to individuals under the PSRB.
  • Deliver skills training in daily living activities and community integration.
  • Conduct PSRB supervision and monitoring to ensure compliance with release orders.
  • Maintain the supportive housing setting, including house meetings and safety checks.
  • Document clinical activities accurately and timely, meeting all requirements.
  • Collaborate with a team of clinicians and community partners.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field.
  • Current MHACBO Qualified Mental Health Associate certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • Knowledge of mental health concepts, community resources, and crisis intervention.
