Job Description
Join our team at Corewell Health as a full-time Radiology Technologist working afternoons. We offer increased pay rates and a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for this position. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients by performing accurate diagnostic exams in general radiology. You will ensure patient safety and provide high-quality images for interpretation while following radiation protection principles and regulations. In addition to operating diagnostic imaging equipment proficiently, you will also train new hires, maintain cleanliness in exam rooms, and contribute to the effective departmental operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document in medical records.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment following policies.
- Utilize ALARA standards to minimize radiation exposure.
- Provide procedural information/education to patients and families.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain competency in all assigned areas.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean and properly stocked.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRCERT Accredited Radiography program.
- CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT upon hire required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA upon hire required.
