Job Description: Radiology Technologist
Corewell Health is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist to join our team. We offer increased pay rates and a $5,000 Sign-On Bonus for this position. As a Radiology Technologist at Corewell Health, you will play a vital role in advancing medicine and setting new standards for exceptional care.
General Summary
Under supervision, you will perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in various areas of general radiology. You will provide the best possible images for interpretation while adhering to radiation protection principles. Additionally, you will assume responsibilities for designated areas and provide clinical instruction as needed, following the Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Essential Duties
- Perform quality diagnostic exams following patient verification and physician orders.
- Acquire accurate patient history and document it in the medical record.
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety.
- Utilize radiographic procedures tailored to each patient's physical abilities.
- Effectively communicate with various departments and individuals.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating diagnostic imaging equipment and follow malfunction protocols.
- Provide procedural information and education to patients and families.
- Assist in training new hires and students.
- Maintain competency in designated areas and adhere to quality control protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduate of JRCERT-Accredited Radiography program.
- Required certifications: CRT-Radiographer (R), CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration, CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS).
