Safety Officer-SPR

Job Description

We are looking for a diligent Safety Officer to ensure a safe and secure environment for our students and staff at Career Systems Development Corporation. You will be responsible for implementing safety plans in compliance with Job Corps regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to safeguard the well-being of all individuals on our premises.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive safety plans for the center.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment, documenting any findings.
• Provide training on fire safety and other security aspects to staff and students.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Investigate accidents, identify trends, and develop corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of security procedures, fire prevention, and OSHA requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
• Physical ability to perform required tasks including driving and occasionally lifting objects.
• Certifications in CPR/First Aid is required.
