Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data for AWS customers.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography, from defining and prioritizing features to testing and implementation.
- Operate globally distributed servers and serve customers by delivering foundational libraries using C and Rust.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and security specialists to deliver and support cryptographic tools and libraries used worldwide.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture experience.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or in leading an engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Salary and Benefits
Base pay ranges from $134,500/year to $261,500/year based on geographic market and job-related factors. Total compensation includes equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive medical and financial benefits.
