Job Description
Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Cryptography team. This role involves contributing to open source projects, implementing cryptography solutions at scale, and ensuring the security of millions of customer data. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries (PAL) team, you will work on building secure and user-friendly encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data within and outside the cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operate AWS services with global reach and customers.
- Develop foundational libraries using C and Rust for secure and reliable services.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one language.
- 5+ years of design or architecture experience.
- Experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
