Job Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Cryptography team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As part of the Protocols, Algorithms, and Libraries team, you will be responsible for designing and developing secure, open source encryption tools and libraries to protect sensitive data in the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete software development lifecycle for AWS Cryptography.
- Operate globally distributed servers and deliver foundational libraries using C and Rust for secure AWS services.
- Work with senior leaders, principal engineers, and security specialists to deliver and support cryptographic tools used worldwide.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language.
- Experience in leading design and architecture of systems.
- Previous mentoring or tech lead experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in the full software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
