Job Description
Join our team at Slumberland Furniture as a Warehouse Associate! We are currently hiring Warehouse Workers with Forklift Operations experience for full-time positions. This role involves storing, moving, and distributing merchandise efficiently and accurately. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining inventory and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled promptly.
Responsibilities
- Move merchandise within locations to optimize storage space.
- Transfer merchandise to and from the show floor for various purposes.
- Utilize the point of sale (POS) system to manage merchandise flow.
- Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Provide training to other employees and lead by example.
- Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues, and vendors to ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by resolving discrepancies and reporting to management.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in building maintenance and uphold company standards and guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or currently working towards one.
- Basic math skills and knowledge of tools and hardware components.
- Valid driver's license and basic computer knowledge required.
- Experience with a POS system is desirable.
