Job Description

Sirmax North America Inc is seeking a Business Development Manager for the South East Territory. The Sales & Business Development Manager will propose and implement relevant business development plans, develop sales in terms of volumes and profitability, and manage relationships with customers, OEM, and other stakeholders. This role involves sales forecasting, identifying new customers, understanding and analyzing customer product and service needs, and negotiating sales terms on the customer interface. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of related sales experience in plastics, proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, strong organizational and excellent communication skills. The role includes prolonged periods of sitting, computer and phone usage, and traveling.

Responsibilities

  • Visits customers to achieve sales goals and develop multi-level relationships within the assigned customer(s), OEM, and other stakeholders.
  • Draw up sales forecasts relating to the area of expertise.
  • Identify and promptly report deviations from forecasts and implement necessary corrections and changes to programs.
  • Research and development of new customers relative to our expertise.
  • Proactively understand and analyze customer product and service needs.
  • Identify emerging needs for new applications at the OEM and Tier 1 level to support the product development plan.
  • Define annual value creation objectives consistent with business and account strategy for each key account.
  • Negotiate local sales terms on the customer interface as needed, capture orders, and complete the ordering process.
  • Identify new opportunities and application spaces where new and existing products can be developed and positioned to create differentiation and long-term sustainability.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize value growth, operational excellence initiatives and inputs into the account plan.
  • Coordinate the positioning of innovative products in the market based on customer needs.

Requirements
