Critical Infrastructure Manager I

Job Description

We are looking for a Critical Infrastructure Manager I to join Flexential, where you will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment in our assigned data center(s). This pivotal role involves ensuring 99.999% or higher uptime and acting as a technical resource for various teams. You will play a key part in enhancing operational effectiveness and efficiency, handle vendor relationships, and drive change toward operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• 24x7 facility on-call duty.
• Operate, maintain, and repair mission-critical equipment to achieve 99.999% uptime.
• Collaborate with regional teams to enhance operational performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Read and interpret technical documents to drive operational change.
• Oversee disaster recovery exercises and power installations.
• Create detailed maintenance procedures and provide training to operations staff.
• Conduct facility checks and data center tours.
• Configure monitoring systems for facility equipment.
• Prepare reports on facility and customer performance.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of critical infrastructure experience.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems in data center operations.
• Military or trade experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical certifications preferred.
• 3+ years of data center experience focusing on building and equipment operations.
• Advanced management and technical training.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Advanced keyboard usage and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Occasional travel may be required.
