Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join the Bristol Group family, where safety, teamwork, and quality are paramount. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of various powered equipment and trailers, ensuring they operate at optimal levels.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a range of equipment including construction machinery, trucks, and diesel engines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and air brake systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks efficiently and with high quality.
  • Diagnose equipment issues accurately and provide effective solutions.
  • Keep the repair shop organized and clean.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and materials for maintenance activities.

Qualifications

  • Team player with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize work and work independently.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and passion for equipment care.
  • Technical degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent demonstrated skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Basic computer skills for work order entry and information retrieval.
