At Kate's K9 Pet Care, we are committed to providing exceptional care for pets in VA and MD. We are currently seeking responsible, professional, and trustworthy individuals to join our team as Dog Walkers. As a Dog Walker, you will create a safe and positive environment for our client's dogs, provide detailed care for cats and small animals, and perform house-sitting duties.

Area/Schedule

• Ability to care for dogs and cats.
• Most dog-walking services occur from 10am to 3pm Monday - Friday.
• Most pet-sitting services occur on evenings and weekends.
• Service areas include: Alexandra, Arlington, Fort Washington, Lorton, National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Waldorf, and nearby communities.

Compensation

• $19 - $21 / hour (based on previous staff wages and potential earning bonuses).
• $2200 - $2700 / month.
• 30-minute visits are paid at the starting rate of $14-$15 per visit (DOE), with an increase to $16 per visit within the first year.
• Time and a half on holidays and when servicing short-notice requests.
• Client gratuity, with 100% of client tips going to staff.
• Bonuses for client/staff referrals and meeting performance goals.
• Work materials provided (treats, poop bags, etc.)
• Bonuses for obtaining Pet First Aid and Pet CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs.
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats and other small animals.
• Perform house-sitting duties as requested by the client.
• Transport client pets.
• Availability preferred on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Remain flexible to accommodate client demand changes.
