Engineer II - Geodesy Instrumentation

Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer II specializing in Geodesy Instrumentation to join the EarthScope Consortium team at our cutting-edge New Mexico facility. In this role, you will work on testing GPS/GNSS receivers and antennas, telemetry, and maintaining station infrastructure to support vital geodetic data delivery to the research community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute multiple field projects related to geophysical instruments and networks.
  • Participate in field operations across various locations, domestically and internationally.
  • Identify and propose new geophysical technologies under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success and adherence to standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, geosciences, or related field.
  • 3 years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks (Bachelor's) or 1 year of field experience (Master's).
  • Proficiency in data quality analysis software preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, on-site role in Socorro, New Mexico, with up to 30% travel required. The salary for this position ranges from $74,400 to $92,900 per year, commensurate with experience.
