Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Academic Instructor-PIV to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. As an instructor, you will conduct and manage academic classes, help students achieve educational goals, and create a positive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include utilizing curriculum resources, tracking student performance, and documenting student records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage academic classes.
• Help students achieve TABE gains and HSD/HSE obtainment.
• Maintain discipline and high student motivation.
• Document student records and input relevant data.
• Establish student/instructor rapport.
• Prepare curriculum and track student performance.
• Assess student progress and make recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and teaching certification.
• 1 year teaching experience with disadvantaged youth (preferred).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Ability to motivate and relate to students effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently: Sitting, standing, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Occasionally: Walking, bending, stooping.
• Seldom: Climbing, lifting 50 pounds, carrying.

Environmental Demands

Ability to operate office equipment. Occasionally works alone. 85% of time spent working with team and other departments. Ability to read and write at a college level.
