Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Engineer III - Tier 1 to join our team at EarthScope Consortium. The Engineer III will work autonomously to manage and lead technical geophysical projects of moderate complexity involving various stakeholders and technologies. You will have the opportunity to implement and oversee field operations in different locations, collaborating with a team of engineers to solve technical challenges creatively.
Responsibilities
- Lead geophysical projects with internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan and execute project scopes, including logistics, maintenance, and network configuration.
- Troubleshoot and integrate geophysical technology and infrastructure.
- Design and test new systems and document project details.
- Provide financial recommendations and support proposal development.
- Foster relationships within the community and with project partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience with geophysical sensors or networks.
- Experience in geophysical data processing and familiarity with data quality analysis software.
- Proficiency in computer programming and leading field teams.
- Strong communication and team-building skills.
Environment
The position involves fieldwork in challenging conditions, requiring physical stamina and the ability to work in a team setting. Travel is necessary, including to polar and international locations.
