Job Description
The Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or a registered nurse (RN) to join our team in fulfilling our mission of improving the lives of the people we serve in East Tennessee. Responsibilities
As an LPN or RN at the McNabb Center, you will have the opportunity to work with special populations, including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and dual diagnosis disorders. You'll be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, offering support to individuals and families from diverse backgrounds with respect and dignity, and ensuring the safety of clients and staff.
Requirements
- Current LPN or RN license in Tennessee (depending on position).
- Knowledge of psychiatric/mental health, A&D, and co-occurring disorders preferred.
- CPR certified or willing to become certified.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, with computer experience required.
- Excellent people, role-modeling, and communication skills.
- Physical capabilities, including exposure to biological hazards, lifting up to 50 lbs., and implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques.
