Spray Painter

Job Description

SJS Executives LLC is seeking a full-time Spray Painter to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM in Virginia Beach, VA. The ideal candidate should have four or more years of recent experience applying industrial or marine coatings to metal components and be able to mentor and supervise junior powder coaters. Daily responsibilities include applying wet coatings in accordance with customer work orders, operating all equipment following safety guidelines, performing regular inspections, and providing instructions to junior staff members. Other duties may be assigned by the Production Manager or company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Apply wet coatings in accordance with customer work orders
• Operate all equipment following safety guidelines
• Start up and shut down the Paint booth
• Perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance coordination
• Coat objects evenly and consistently
• Inspect work daily for quality and defect prevention
• Fill in required project paperwork and provide instruction to junior staff members
• Monitor paint stocks, levels, and storage

Qualifications

• Possess four or more years of recent career experience
• Understand the basic physical properties and mechanics of spray painting for metals
• Strong English communication skills
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
