Job Summary:

The Substitute Residential Advisor-SPR creates a comfortable, safe, and supportive atmosphere for residents in student housing. This role involves assisting students in personal hygiene, room assignments, recreational activities, and other daily operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide daily supervision and assist students with various activities.
• Offer informal counseling for personal concerns and stress management.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
• Conduct dormitory checks and ensure safety and security.
• Facilitate life skills groups and discussions.
• Organize and lead student meetings.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in dormitories.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum : High school diploma, 1 year of experience in education or related field, valid driver's license.

Preferred : Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field, additional experience in education.

Knowledge : Ability to compose reports, implement program activities, direct individuals, intervene with students, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, see, hear, speak, walk, bend, stoop, squat, climb (occasionally), lift 50 pounds (seldom), carry, kneel, push/pull, run, drive.

Environmental Demands:

Ability to operate office equipment, occasional work alone, primarily interacts with team and other departments, reads and writes at a college level.
