Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic (Heavy Truck) to join River States Truck and Trailer, a leading provider of maintenance and repair services for Class 6-8 vehicles. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting malfunctions, and delivering quality repairs using advanced diagnostic tools. Your role will involve maintaining a clean and organized work area, resolving customer concerns, and participating in ongoing training to stay updated with the latest technologies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle malfunctions.
• Provide quality repairs and demonstrate competency with a high level of accountability.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Resolve customer concerns by identifying problems and offering effective solutions.
• Participate in training to stay current with new technologies.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience as a diesel technician on Class 6-8 vehicles.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.
• Necessary tools to perform job responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Class A CDL.
• Technical degree.
• A/C, Brake, and DOT Annual Inspector Certifications.
• Specialization in specific areas (e.g., engine, drive train).
