Medical Technologist, Full-Time WEO Nights

Job Description

Johnson Regional Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Medical Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis working WEO nights. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for processing laboratory specimens and reporting results across various areas of the clinical laboratory while maintaining quality control practices and following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity as well as moderate complexity and waived testing.
• Order and manage supplies for different laboratory areas.
• Interact professionally with the Laboratory Manager, Pathologist, and clinical laboratory staff.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation standards.
• Stay informed on new testing methods, products, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Or Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician with 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Certification is preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer knowledge and operation of laboratory equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Normal hospital environment with exposure to hazards.
• Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting and bending.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 35 pounds.
• Safety sensitive position requiring alertness and compliance with safety precautions.
