Registered Nurse

Job Description

We currently have four Registered Nurse (RN) positions available at AVHS. The positions include Full-Time Night Shift RN, Full-Time Day Shift RN, Full-Time Day Shift Float RN for Pre/Post Op and Med/Surg Floor, and Full-Time Day Shift Float RN for Cardiac Rehab and Med/Surg Floor. Join our team for on-the-job training, self-scheduling, 2 weekends a month, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Position Summary:

• Provide quality care focusing on patient and family well-being.
• Occasionally serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks and assignments.
• Maintain nursing standards through critical thinking and comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a current Kansas license.
• 30 CEUs in 2 years, ACLS, PALS certifications, and biennial CPR review.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain departmental policies, ensure optimal patient care, and supervise team members.
• Document patient care accurately and ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Act as a liaison between administration, patients, and healthcare providers.

Cardiac Rehab Job Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage patient pain levels.
• Ensure equipment sterilization and proper documentation.
• Communicate with physicians for patient care coordination.

Pre/Post Op Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgery and assist in recovery.
• Coordinate with the surgical team for patient care.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient treatment and progress.
