Job Description

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is hiring a motivated and independently responsible Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will work directly with the general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and assist departments in financial matters. You will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and modifying accounting procedures, systems, and policies. The position also involves preparing and analyzing fiscal reports, interpreting the Fiscal Control Act, and exercising independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations and assist departments with financial matters.
  • Develop, review, and modify accounting procedures, systems, and policies.
  • Prepare and analyze fiscal reports and interpret the Fiscal Control Act.
  • Exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited institution. CPA candidate with up to two years of professional accounting experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to lead others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern office practices.
