Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Vocational Instruction Project Community Services Inc. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to our clients. Your role will involve administering medication, monitoring client health, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the well-being of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism, respect, and dignity in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
• Ensure adherence to prescribed care plans and administer medication following protocols.
• Observe clients for signs of intoxication or medication side effects and take appropriate action.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in health counseling and provide supportive care under the guidance of registered nurses.
• Engage in ongoing job training, attend mandatory in-services, and seek professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Current NYS LPN License and Infection Control Certificate.
• Minimum one year of LPN experience, preferably in substance abuse treatment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
