Job Description
We are excited to offer the MRAS 2024 Summer Internship/Coop (paid) position at Middle River Aerostructure Systems, a world-leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry. As an intern at MRAS, you will gain valuable exposure to various areas such as Design, Engineering, Lean, Manufacturing/Production, Quality, Engineering services, and Sourcing/materials related to your field of study. You will work on challenging projects under the mentorship of experienced managers, enhancing your leadership skills and functional expertise through hands-on training.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects requiring independent decision-making, with durations ranging from 2 months to 2 years.
- Create visual presentations to communicate progress and share best practices.
- Analyze data using tools like Excel.
- Participate in early talent events, seminars, and training sessions.
- Perform assignments with a focus on trust and accuracy.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a degree program leading to a bachelor's or technical degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Completed one year of college (rising sophomore).
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green card holder.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 24 credit hours toward a bachelor's/technical degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Material Science, or related engineering fields.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Capable of identifying issues, creating solutions, and meeting deadlines.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
