Registered Nurse - Float Pool 3

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dynamic health care team at ThedaCare. As a Float Pool Clinical Nurse, you will provide specialized nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. Your responsibilities include utilizing evidence-based practice to assess patient needs, collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care, and promoting a culture of innovation and professional development.

Key Accountabilities

• Utilize the nursing process and evidence-based practice to assess patient needs.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop a comprehensive plan of care.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise and perform all functions of a professional clinical nurse.
• Identify ways to improve patient care processes and promote quality outcomes.
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and physicians to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or commitment to obtain within five years of hire.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience with Float Pool and/or Resource teams in healthcare settings.
• Current Wisconsin RN or compact nursing licensure.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to move freely and lift up to fifty pounds without assistance.
• Exposure to various occupational hazards such as bloodborne pathogens and high noise levels.
• Compliance with department-specific competencies.
