Job Description

American Family Insurance is seeking a Property Field Claims Adjuster to join our Claims Services team in North St. Paul, MN. In this role, you will investigate and maintain property claims, determine liability, review coverages, and settle claims. You will be responsible for ensuring customer service excellence and delivering seamless claim service in partnership with agencies. Preferred candidates will have property field adjusting experience or mitigation/construction project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate origin and cause of claims, identify complex issues, and handle claims in good faith.
• Handle both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements.
• Conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and negotiate claims with involved parties.
• Respond to customer inquiries, interpret policies, and provide status updates on claims.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in customer-driven solutions and handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims.
• Solid knowledge of casualty coverages, claim handling processes, and policies and endorsements.
• Valid driver's license and state-specific property casualty claims licensing required.
